Disney World Vacation 2014

Since I graduated with my Masters and turned 28 in the same month, we decided to celebrate by going to DisneyWorld! It was a super fun trip and here is where I will catalog out trip as well as give some tips!

We booked our vacation through someone who works for Disney, and we loved working with him. He helped find a good deal for us with the hotel, gave us a booklet that has a ton of tips of things we could do in each park, character breakfasts, etc. He also sent us lanyards and pins, luggage tags, and some coupons for things we could do at the hotel.

We got kind of excited preparing for the trip...
43 Days Paper Chain Countdown!

Magic Bands, these are your tickets to the park, your room key, and fast pass!

One day to go!!

After the plane ride, on a bus to our Hotel on May 14th

We stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside, a cute "Princess and the Frog" kind of feel.

My two Buttons: Graduation and Birthday pins and A letter from Tiana welcoming us to the Hotel! (Secret, its part of the table!)

One wall was dedicated to the Disney Princesses

A photo of Tiana and the footstool from Beauty and the Beast!

The rug from Aladdin! (it's part of the carpet!)

Harrison lounging on the bed with a sweet Bayou scene behind him

Some of the Disney Princes

More Disney Princes

A not so hidden Mickey to welcome us to the Hotel!

One of the benefits of booking a Disney Resort Hotel is that, when we got to the Airport we checked out bags, and then the Hotel picked them up for us and brought them to our hotel room. Same thing when we checked out of the hotel--they take the bags to the airport and we picked them up after the flight in Salt Lake!

Another incredible benefit: being bussed every where! They pick you up and take you to the airport, there are buses to each park at least every 20 minutes.

You can benefit from staying at a resort hotel because you can go to the parks for Magic Hours, sometimes it is an hour before the parks open, or they will stay open later. We did this occasionally but usually were so tired that we didn't last long!
